As I am typing this Owen is singing and talking to himself in his room. Since around Thanksgiving time we have been able to leave him in his room to fall asleep on his own. This is big news in our house, let me tell you. Two years in the making. After we leave the room, he spends a contented 15 minutes or so singing songs and saying whatever comes into his head. Mark and I giggle listening to him through the monitor.

What is monkey bread?
Hard to describe. It's basically dough with cinnamon and sugar and butter. Very yummy.
